Why these four numbers matter most
Almost every small-business decision routes through four numbers: what an hour of your work costs (rate), how many sales cover the month (break-even), what share of revenue is actually profit (margin), and what to charge (pricing). Get these four right and most other decisions make themselves.
The most common owner mistakes hide here too: pricing from a salary divided by 2,080 hours (ignores unbillable time), confusing margin with markup (quietly halves profit), and not knowing break-even until the bank balance finds it first.
Each calculator shows its formula and assumptions on the page — the goal is that you understand the number, not just receive it. All of them run entirely in your browser; nothing you enter leaves this site.
